The Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented (TAGT) provides the TXGifted Café as a free public service, connecting educators and parents dedicated to meeting the unique needs of gifted and talented students. Let's talk!

Welcome to the TXGifted Café!

Welcome to cafe.txgifted.org! If you are a member of TAGT, you should be able to log in using your email address and the default six-letter TAGT password (email David if you don't know it). If this is your first visit, you should log in (left) and create a profile via the "My Account" link on the left. The TXGifted Café has four primary functions as follows:

  1. Blogs! Everyone has a blog. Tell your story, keep a journal, or share your ideas; it's up to you! Just remember your audience, and be sure to share links!
  2. Forums: These are for general, topical discussions. The forums are a public space where anyone can answer questions or elaborate on topics.
  3. Groups: Anyone can form a group, and we hope all of our Divisions and Parent Affiliate Groups will do so, as well as those new to organizing for advocacy! Groups are for organizing locally or according to interest, and have special capabilities: the founder/administrator of a group can set the group to private, where only group members can see group posts, invisible, where the group does not appear in the group directory, and invite-only, where users cannot join without an invitation from a member.
  4. Private Messages: Users can send private messages to other users, who will receive notification by email. This is intended to keep email addresses confidential, but allow users to contact one another.
